Odd Man Out is an alternative folk music festival showcasing the best of what “alt folk” has to offer.

Alternative folk encompasses wide variety of sub genres including freak folk, gothic country, and outlaw country. The name Odd Man Out was inspired by these band’s general strangeness leading them to be left out of general folk music.

The festival is set in Nashville, TN because Nashville is “Music City”, home to some of the best folk and country that ever existed! The people of Nashville will have opportunities to interact with environmental signage, making them the odd man out.
